Frequently Asked Questions

Is this a question?

If I answer it, then yes?

Are you open source and forever free?

Not currently, but I'm open to the idea. Like any software, we owe a lot of the open source projects that we stand on top of. At the same time... some place, some where, we all need enough income to buy pizza so we can keep coding. I'd like to avoid the more egregious forms of monetization.

What about <insert feature here> feature?

If we keep getting users, I'll keep building. There's a lot of space left.

What's good about this game?

This is a real curiosity. There is something about complexity arising out of simplicity. On the surface, NMM doesn't appear to be much more complicated than tic-tac-toe. And if you've played a few games, you've noticed how quickly things can go bad. But it was the dominant strategy game in the Western World for about 2000 years. It's just awkward that we have lost the vocabulary to describe the intricate parts of the game. There's no 'London System' or 'the Traxler' that anyone remembers. We'll have to remake those things as we go. But, there's enough to the game that you won't learn it all.

What about cookies and privacy?

You need one cookie to make the game work. We don't do any cross site tracking. We store game histories for internal use.

I used the same password as I use for my coinbase account? Is it going to be safe?

Hahahaha. No. I've taken appropriate precautions, but the reality is that sites get cracked all the time. I wouldn't expose anything here you're not prepared to lose.
